GERMAN WWI (Imperial) BAYONETS
German 1898/05 (Butcher) 1st and 2nd Pattern Plain Bayonet (Ref1,No.1,page86, Ref3,ABC463/464,page309) Rarity: R1+
1st pattern with high ears and no flashguard, made by Haenel and dated 1915 for Bavaria. Wood grips has chip missing on right side with patina on the handle. No regimental markings. Blade has light staining and no sharpening. Metal scabbard with some dents and crease near tip. Scarce Bavarian maker. Condition: VG+ Price: $225
1st pattern with high ears and no flashguard, made by Simson and dated 1912 for Prussia. Dark wood grips with patina on the handle. Dark blade with staining and sharpening. Metal scabbard with patina and several dents. Scarce early date. Condition: VG Price: $100
1st pattern converted to 2nd pattern, low ears with flashguard made by Coppel and dated 1911 for Bavaria. Not regimentally marked. Very nice wood grips with staining on the handle. Small Weimar eagle over 'G' on the flashguard. Excellent blade with no sharpening. Nice metal scabbard with no finish remaining. Rare wartime Bavarian bayonet that was converted from a 1st pattern model. Condition: VG+ Price: $225
2nd pattern with low ears and flashguard, made by Luneschloss and dated 1916 for Prussia. Very nice wood grips with patina on the handle. Crossguard is marked 'A.R.95.I.K.12'. Blade has staining and light sharpening. Excellent metal scabbard with no dents. Condition: VG+ Price: $150
