Belgium 1866 Tige Carbine Bayonet (Keisling, Vol.4, No.990, page153) ![]()
Rarity: R4
This bayonet has a steel pommel and crossguard, and one piece horn grip. Both the pommel and crossguard have fittings to receive the rifle's bar on the barrel. The bayonet is secured by a notch on the locking catch spring which protrudes into the recess of the crossguard. Handle is dark with patina and peppering. Blade is dark with age and patina/peppering and no sharpening. No scabbard. Very rare bayonet. Condition: VG Price: $750 CZECHOSLAVAKIA
German Marked Czech. VZ-24 Bayonet (Ref1,No.4,page100, Ref3,ABC371,page252) Rarity: R1+
Marked 'Z' in a circle (made by CSZ for export). Excellent wood grips with bluing on the handle. Excellent dark blued blade with in/out marks and light sharpening. Blade is marked waffenampt '80' and frog stud is marked waffenampt 'WaA 63'. Nice scabbard marked '53' near the throat with little finish remaining.

Made by 'CSZ V' and dated 'E lion 20' on the blade. Very nice wood grips with patina on the metal handle. Regimental marked on the end of the pommel '1/77. 2C.441'. Very nice upside down blade with about 90% bluing remaining. Metal scabbard with about 20% bluing remaining and marked 'Z lion 29' and regimentally marked 1./221. Condition: VG+ Price: $75 ENGLAND
English/Indian 1801 Baker Bayonet (no reference) ![]()

No markings except for a number '880' on the end of the handle. Brass handle with 6 ridges and clamshell. "D" guard. Press stud under handle with leaf spring on top of handle. Overall length was 662mm with a blade length of 553mm. Blade has false edge that is 150mm long. No scabbard. Probably made for India. Very rare. Condition: VG+ Price: $300 FRANCE
German Modified French 1866 Bayonet (Ref1,No.1,page97, Carter's No.103). ![]()

This is a standard French Chassepot bayonet (with no modifications to the bayonet itself) except that bayonet is German regimentally marked and the scabbard has been German modified by adding a long elongated frog stud. Very nice brass handle which is marked '24' near the press stud and the crossguard is marked '87.L.I.2.218' and is marked '22' on the other side of the crossguard. Very nice blade made by Mutzig and is dated 1869 with no sharpening. Nice metal scabbard with German modified frog stud and was finished bright with some staining. French Chassepot bayonet that was modified by extending the press stud, machining the pommel down 1-step for about 35mm long, the muzzle ring was milled out, and the back of the brass handle was grooved. German made blade (hot air balloon logo). No French inscription on the back of the blade. Metal scabbard has German frog stud and is marked '39.R.L.2.42'. Rare conversion. French Chassepot bayonet that was modified by machining the back of the grip down about 3-4mm and 24mm long. Made by WKC. Nice handle with some patina and personalize 'Stemen' on the pommel. No French markings remaining. Blade has some staining and sharpening. Metal scabbard with German frog stud with about 80% black paint remaining and personalized ' S. A. Stemen, 1910'. Condition: VG+

French 1874 Gras bayonet that was modified by the Germans by grinding down the inside of the muzzle ring, grinding down the back of the brass pommel and extending the release catch back 1-3mm. Nice wood grips with light staining on the handle. Crossguard numbered '52139'. Very nice blade made by St. Etienne and dated 1875 with light staining and no sharpening. Nice metal scabbard with about 10% black paint remaining. Black leather frog with buckle attachment in tact. German or Italian 1870s Navy Short Sword (no reference) ![]()

Marker marked 'navy anchor' between and 'A' and 'G' (Anker-Werke, Solingen?). Brass handle and crossguard. Maker mark is AG with an anchor between the A&G (Anchorwerke in Solingen?). Also has a 'MA' in a circle proof marking on the handle and blade ricasso. Curved 468mm slab blade with staining and light sharpening. No scabbard. Condition: VG+ Price: $125 JAPAN

Norwegian 1851 Sabre Bayonet (Watts & White, page 231, No.514) ![]()

This bayonet has the very unusual 1 piece wooden grip. Wood grip with circular lines held by two screws. The opposite side is flat steel with a Crown K and release lever on top spine of handle. Blade has crown K and number 1110 on ricasso. Blade is a very long yataghan with light pitting and staining. No scabbard. Made by Perkun on right side of blade with WP and Polish Eagle on the other side of blade. Nice wood grips with bright finish on handle. No muzzle ring and with flashguard. Very nice blade with light sharpening is numbered '308205'. Metal scabbard with 80% black paint remaining and top throat numbers '38777'. Condition: VG+ Price: $175

Russian 1895 Winchester Short Bayonet (ABC129,page100) ![]()

A very rare short 1895 model was made which looks like a US 1895 Lee model (~10,000 were made but were not accepted by the Russians). The 7.62mm rifle was produced for Russia and a 6mm Winchester rifle was made for the US. Very nice wood grips and bottom of crossguard is marked 'Winchester Repeating Arms Co'. Versus the US model, the Russian model has a larger muzzle ring diameter (16mm vs. 13mm) and the mortise slot is wider. Very nice fullered blade with some light sharpening. Leather scabbard with metal fittings and type 1 metal belt attachment. Very rare bayonet.

German Siamese 1907 Mauser Bayonet (No reference) ![]()

With no maker's markings. Many of these Siamese bayonets were thought to be used by the Germans. Nice wood grips held by rivets and light peppering on the handle and crossguard. Very nice brass handle with working attachment ring on the back of handle and working release knob on the crossguard. Crossguard marked 'A 84'. Long yataghan blade that has been rough cleaned with staining, sharpening and rounded tip. No scabbard. Only 1646 bayonets were made in only year of production in 1855. A commemorative recording and photographic of the Allied Invasion of album Normandy, June 6th, 1944. D-Day Plus 20: 1944-1964 12" vinyl album by Columbia special products records in 1964. Brand new and never opened in cellophane plastic.
This limited edition release package was prepared exclusively for Philco, a Division of Ford Motor Company by Columbia Special Products. The vinyl record includes the CBS news reports and speeches before, during and after D-Day. Features the actual voices and photos of Dwight D. Eisenhower, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Bernard Law Montgomery, Charles DeGaulle, Adolf Hitler and others. Narration by Quentin Reynolds. Inside the deluxe gatefold is an attached full-size 36 page booklet packed with 55 photos of the event, along with photo captions and accompanying text of the story of D-Day. The photos are divided into seven sections: Preparation (which includes a map of the complete invasion), Airborne, Attack, Medic, Build-Up, Big Push and Victory. On the first and last pages are the credits for this release. There's a small bit of tape repair to secure the booklet and one photo has been removed, other than that the booklet is in excellent condition.
