In addition, I also offer in scarce bayonets for sale or trade that are in above average condition for the advanced collector.  These items have been described to the best of my ability.  In most cases, condition refers to the overall condition of the piece.  I have many more bayonets available from my collection that are not listed, so please email me with your wants and needs at Mail to inquiry@bayonetsonline.com.

bulletMarked '43' on the top spine of blade, 'Crown over VO' on left arm, and '1355' on the right arm.  Long socket with very short mortise slot with retaining ring.  Later model long fullered blade with some staining and very light sharpening.  Long socket bayonet that is 787mm overall and has a 673mm blade.  The blade is 38mm wide and the socket is 108mm long with a 24mm muzzle ring diameter.  Very rare bayonet.

FRANCE

bulletnew-sign.gif (938 bytes)  Made by St. Etienne and dated 1879 with inspection markings on the blade ('S' in diamond and 'RI' in circle).  Very nice wood handle with brass pommel with a hump on the back of the handle with mortise slot marked '20'.  Graying and some areas of light pitting on the T-shaped blade.   Metal scabbard with partial finish remaining and some light areas of pitting.  Matching numbers (10400) on the crossguard and scabbard.

Rarity: R4
bulletFrench Lebel bayonet that was left unaltered by was marked by the Germans.  Silver alloy handle with pitting on the crossguard and shortened cruciform blade.  Handle marked 'G.P.X  IV.B'.  No scabbard.  Overall length is 475mm with a 357mm blade.  Rare.

POLAND

German Marked Polish WZ 1939 Bayonet (Ref1,No.1,page160, Ref3,ABC259,page185) 120-275.jpg (194450 bytes) (closeup) Rarity: R2
bulletMade by Radom.  Has Polish eagle and '1939' underneath on left side of blade.  Very nice wood grips and no bluing remaining on handle with no muzzle ring.  Blade has about 90% bluing remaining with no sharpening and some in/out wear on the tip.  German inspection stamp on spine of blade (waffenampt 77).  Metal scabbard with no finish remaining.  Very rare.

RUSSIA

Russian 1895 Winchester Short Bayonet (ABC129,page100) 120-337.jpg (194446 bytes)

bulletHold  A very rare short 1895 model was made which looks like a US 1895 Lee model (~10,000 were made but were not accepted by the Russians).  The 7.62mm rifle was produced for Russia and a 6mm Winchester rifle was made for the US.  Very nice wood grips and bottom of crossguard is marked 'Winchester Repeating Arms Co'.  Versus the US model, the Russian model has a larger muzzle ring diameter (16mm vs. 13mm) and the mortise slot is wider.  Very nice fullered blade with some light sharpening.  Leather scabbard with metal fittings and type 1 metal belt attachment.  Very rare bayonet.

bulletWith no maker's markings. Many of these Siamese bayonets were thought to be used by the Germans.  Nice wood grips held by rivets and light peppering on the handle and crossguard.  Excellent double edged blade with no sharpening.  Metal scabbard (German 98k model) with pitting overall.  Black leather frog with no markings.  Quite scarce.

bulletnew-sign.gif (938 bytes)  Made by the Providence Tool Company in Providence R.I.  Wood grips with crack held by 5 rivets with working leaf spring but is missing the press stud probably decommissioned for use as a sidearm.  Inspection stamped with a 'B' on the blade ricasso, 'C' on the handle spine and an 'H' on the muzzle ring.  Fullered blade with graying and light pitting overall.  No leather scabbard.

bulletVery nice brass handle with working attachment ring on the back of handle and working release knob on the crossguard.  Crossguard marked 'A 84'.  Long yataghan blade that has been rough cleaned with staining, sharpening and rounded tip.  No scabbard.  Only 1646 bayonets were made in only year of production in 1855.

US 1896 Krag Cadet Bayonet (Ref1,No1,page218, Ref3,ABC137,page106) Rarity: R4
bulletMarked 'US' on one side of blade and '1900' on other side.  Nice wood handles held by two rivets with some staining on handle.  Blade has some staining and no sharpening.  Very nice blued scabbard with integral leather/metal belt attachment.  Made from 1894 until 1900 for the military cadet academies (i.e. West Point).  Very rare bayonet.

US 1942 Bayonet (Ref1,No.3,page221, Ref3,ABC552,page47)

bullet   Made by PAL and dated 1943.  Excellent plastic grips and finish on the handle.  Excellent unsharpened blade with nearly 100% finish left.  Excellent flaming bomb fiberglass scabbard with original foil wrapper on top fitting.  Un-issued, near mint, as nice as you can get.

US M9 Phrobis 4th Generation Bayonet (Ref1,No.1,page219, Ref3,ABC102,page85) Rarity: R2
bullet  Marked with 4-line marking 'M9, Phrobis III, U.S.A., Pat. Pending' which were produced around 2003.  Dupont Zytel handle with Phrobis marked crossguard with bottle cap openers.  Fullered blade has a sawback and can be used as a wire-cutter.  Dupont Zytel scabbard with wire-cutter attachment with screw driver end.  Comes with bayonet, scabbard, Bianchi belt fastener, quick-release Fastex buckle, canvas pouch & sharpening stone.  Light use overall with some rub markings on the blade and the sharpening stone is unused.  I will include an electronic photo copy of the US M9 Operator's Manual (10 pages) with your purchase if interested.
