Steiff  Animals For  Sale

Steiff is a German-based plush toy company known for its high quality and equally high prices. It was begun in 1880 by Margarete Steiff, who was later assisted by her brother Fritz.  Steiff products are subject to meticulous testing and inspection. They are required to be highly flame resistant and, among other things, smaller pieces such as eyes must be able to resist considerable tension, wear and tear, etc.

The most common materials used in Steiff toys are alpaca, felt, mohair and woven plush.  Eyes are generally made of wood or glass, and the stuffing is commonly wood shavings or polyester fibers.  A large amount of the work is done by hand, from design sketches to airbrushed paint.  The final touch on any Steiff toy is the trademark "button in ear marked Steiff" to keep counterfeits from being passed off as authentic toys.

I have been collecting Steiff animals for over 25 years.  I primarily specialize in dogs but I have many other animals in various sizes.  Please check out my Steiff animals that are for sale below.  If you don't see a particular animal or size you are looking for or would like more information or photos for a specific piece, please email me.

All pieces are guaranteed authentic and supported with a 'no questions asked' return policy.  If you have any questions or see a particular piece you are interested in, you can contact me at Mail to steiff@bayonetsonline.com

Payment, Shipping, Layaway & Return Policies

Payment Terms:

I accept personal checks, money orders, bank checks, Western Union, Bank Wire Transfer (please add $15 to cover my bank fees) and PayPal (but for PayPal payments please add 4.6% for international customers or 3.3% for US customers) to the total to cover my PayPal fees).  U.S. Postal Money orders, Western Union, Bank Wire Transfer, and PayPal payments ship immediately.  For personal checks, you will need to allow 7-10 business days for your check to clear my bank.

U.S. Shipping, Handling and Insurance:

For U.S. sales, typically it will cost ~$6-$10 for the first item (if under 2 lb) and $2 per additional item, thereafter.  Please contact me for actual shipping/insurance/PayPal costs for your purchase Mail to steiff@bayonetsonline.com  For U.S. sales, all items will be shipped via the Post Office by priority mail (express or expedited shipment is also available for an additional cost) and I will send you an email once your item is shipped.  Insurance is not included in the shipping cost and is entirely optional for the buyer but is highly recommended.  Please realize that it will be your responsibility and your loss if the package is lost or stolen if you do not have insurance.

International Shipments/Customs:

For international sales, I will use regular Priority airmail or Global Express Mail (EMS).  I do recommend using EMS since this service provides a tracking number and is automatically insured up to $100 free of charge (additional insurance can be purchased but is typically limited to $200-$500 depending on your particular country).  Please realize if you use regular priority airmail that there is no way to find the parcel if it gets lost.  EMS is well worth the few extra dollars for having the tracking number and peace of mind.  For EMS shipments, please provide your phone number with your purchase so this can be placed on the EMS label so you can be contacted if there is any problem with your shipment or someone needs to contact you for delivery.  If you decide to use regular priority airmail, you are unable to have insurance and accept all risks in the shipment.  Typically for a 1 lb item, shipping costs average ~$30 by Priority airmail (4-6 weeks for receipt) or ~$40 for Global Express (EMS) airmail which also provides a tracking number (7-10 days for receipt) and includes up to $100 insurance.

For buyers who are from another country, payment can be made in several ways and must be in U.S. dollars only: 1) Money wired through Western Union, 2) International Postal Money Order, 3) Bank Check, 4) Bank Wire Transfer (please add $15 to cover my bank fees) or 5) PayPal (but for PayPal payments please add 4.6% to the total to cover my PayPal fees).

Please contact me for actual shipping/insurance/PayPal costs for your purchase Mail to steiff@bayonetsonline.com

By purchasing an item you accept all responsibility should the item violate your import regulation and is confiscated or sent back.  Please study your laws to know what items can be legally shipped to you so the items are not confiscated or sent back to me.

The customs value declaration and invoice amount must be the same, and the customer is responsible in case of loss, stolen, damage or customs confiscation.  Please realize that YOU are responsible for compliance with your local laws and that YOU warrant the shipment is legal to your country.  The buyer is responsible for ALL customs and duty fees levied in the receiving country on any and all purchases.  If a package is abandoned in customs in the buyers country and is returned back to me for lack of customs and or duty fees being paid and I have to pay those fees plus shipping charges, the package will be held for one week, after which, the package becomes the sole property of the seller.

Layaway:

I do offer layaway terms on any purchase.  Layaway requires a minimum of 10% of the total price as a down payment to initially to hold the item for you.  You can take up to 60 days to complete the remaining balance with no penalty or interest charges.  The down payment will be forfeited if the purchase is cancelled for any reason or you go beyond the 60 days grace period.  There are NO returns or merchandise changes allowed on layaway items.

'No Questions Asked' Satisfaction Guarantee:

You must be satisfied! If for any reason you are not, you can return item within three days of receipt, in the same condition as received, for a full refund less all shipping/PayPal costs.
